Serving organizations in leadership, administration, and as a spokesman for over 25 years, working in corrections since 2008; Rob Yantis retired in 2024 as the Commander of the Pennington County Jail in Rapid City, South Dakota; an agency with a strong influence in safety and justice partnerships in community, state, and national coalitions. Rob is the husband of a lovely wife, the father of three great kids, and a proud grandfather. Rob communicates from the premise that it is our duty in corrections to represent the best of society when we encounter people at their worst.
