With January behind us, we are one month closer to warm weather and one month further away from 2020, spring cannot come soon enough. At my age, I do not want time to go too fast, but I think most will agree with that sentiment.

I wanted to share an idea that the Cheyenne County Safety Committee came up with in response to trying to keep up with training while following local directed health measures regard physical distancing. They may not have been the first to think of this, but they were the first to mention it to me and I wanted to make sure every other NIRMA member was aware of this option. Their plan is to utilize NIRMA’s On-Demand Video Training and share it with employees via Zoom Meetings. Simple and cost effective.

Once a topic is identified simply have a someone, probably a safety committee member, host a Zoom meeting and invite those employees that will benefit from the training. Then during the meeting, the host can view the On-Demand Video presentation and share their screen with all invited attendees. Employees can view it from the safety of their own workspace and multiple people can view for the cost of one video. Keep in mind that the on-demand video service is paid for by NIRMA, there is no cost for members to utilize this resource.

Many thanks to Cheyenne County Chief Deputy Ron Kissler for sharing the idea! Also, keep in mind that NIRMA’s Loss Prevention and Safety Department are also able to present training via Zoom Meetings.
