By Chad Engle, Loss Prevention and Safety Specialist
I am very excited to announce that NIRMA has expanded our online loss prevention resources by increasing the number of Online University courses, the number of Toolbox Talks and offering several of our inspection and investigation forms and checklists online. All these resources are provided at no cost to NIRMA members and should be up on the website by Monday, May 10th.
NIRMA Online University – New Courses Available to Members
The Online University courses focus on driving safety. With gatherings still being limited this is another excellent method to provide safe driving training to your employees. All that is needed is a computer with internet access. Someone within the county or agency will need to create an admin account with Local Gov U.
NIRMA’s Toolbox Talks – New Subjects Available to Members
It is my goal to continue to add relevant toolbox talk topics as they become available. These topics are intended to be useful to any county or agency department or employee. They are intended to assist supervisors in starting conversations about safety related topics.
Visit our Toolbox Talks page for all training topics.
NIRMA Inspection Forms and Checklists – Now available Online
When I meet with new Safety Committee Chairpersons and perform safety committee assessments, I provide them with copies of these inspection and investigation forms. It just made sense to make them available online as well. I will still provide them when meeting with safety committee folks, but feel free to download them as needed to assist you in performing your regular documented workplace inspections.
