2020 NIRMA Virtual Seminar – Day 2

NIRMA’s Spotlight Seminar Series will focus on what life as a public official involves. You’ll learn about the difference between your legal and ethical obligations, the challenges of conducting open meetings and how quickly and easily the public’s trust and confidence can be lost.

Because of the current restrictions in place due to COVID-19, NIRMA’s Regional Spotlight Seminar Series will be presented virtually.

Eric Rodriguez, a veteran financial crimes risk consultant who specializes in the prevention and detection of fraud, will open the day with an enlightening look at the triggers that can lead to fraud in the public sector, red flags you should watch for and preventive measures you can take. He will be followed by NIRMA Law Enforcement and Safety Specialist Terry Baxter who will discuss the best practices for fortifying your courthouse and promoting public office safety in order to better protect your employees and the public.
